D.C. and the Northern Virginia Wine Country
John and I had a wonderful weekend with Steven and Erica. We were able to spend some time with them in their neck of the woods, Washington D.C. On Saturday we drove down to northern Virginia and toured several wineries. It was so much fun tasting all of the wine, and Erica made us a delicious picnic lunch. We ended the night with a delicious steak at a restaurant in downtown Bethesda. It happened to be restaurant week in Bethesda, so we got a great deal on our dinner.
We went to the National Gallery on Sunday, followed by a quick visit to the new WWII memorial. The weather was a bit yucky on Sunday, so we tried to stay inside! Because of the weather, John and I almost got stuck in D.C. We were able to finally get some seats on a plane, and eventually made it home at about 1:00 in the morning. We had a great time and can't wait to visit again. Thanks Steven and Erica!
