Wine and Dine Half Marathon

 

 

 

I ran in my 3rd half marathon in November.  This one was the Wine and Dine half.  This was a little different because it was a night race.  It didn't start until 10:00 pm.  After the race, Epcot remained open until 4:00 in the morning.  We decided to make this an adults only trip and we had a fantastic time.  We were able to ride all of the big roller coasters and see everything we wanted to see.  The race was fun and I beat my best time by 1 minute!  The kids were pretty jealous that they didn't get to go, but they will get to go in January when I run with Aunt Erica in the Disney half marathon.  Here are a few pictures that Emily and I took.  It's amazing how many fewer pictures you take when you don't have kids with you!

 

 

 

Daniel Island Trip

The kids and I used the long weekend in October to make a trip down to Daniel Island, South Carolina, to visit the Riley's.  We visited a pumpkin patch and took the boat out to an awesome little island.  We sure do miss them, but at least they live in a cool place that we get to visit.  We can't wait until next time!

 

 

 

 

 

Ben Plays Soccer

Benjamin played soccer with the YMCA this fall.  It was quite amusing to watch a team of 3 year olds try to kick the ball into the (correct) goal.  Ben's good friend Sam from daycare was also on the team, so they had a great time together.  John agreed to be the coach after the YMCA threatened to cancel the team if nobody volunteered.  I'm pretty sure he enjoyed it just as much as Ben!  I must say, there is nothing cuter than a 3 year old in a huge soccer jersey!

 

 

 

Mother / Daughter Weekend at Camp

The girls and I headed back to Mentone for Fall Mother / Daughter weekend at camp.  Once again, we had a wonderful time.  The weather was perfect and the girls were able to show me everything they did at camp this summer.  I was able to spend the weekend with one of my dear friends that was actually my counselor at camp many years ago.  We are already planning for the spring weekend!
